How long does it take for breast augmentation scars to heal and fade?
Incisions from breast implant surgery are closed with dissolvable sutures and are typically completely healed after one week. The scars will remain red for a period of time, but by a year have usually faded and assumed their final appearance . Final scar appearance is variable but is usually good and scar revision is not commonly necessary.
