What are the risks of breast augmentation surgery?
Breast augmentation is usually free from major complications. Like any surgery, however, a number of complications are possible. These include infection, hematoma, capsular contracture, nipple numbness, asymmetry, and implant deflation or rupture. Although reoperation may be necessary, none of these complications represent a major health risk to the patient.
